Dental Health Nursing

Dental Health Nursing is a specialized area of nursing focused on the prevention, assessment, and management of oral health issues. Dental Health Nurses work alongside dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide care that promotes oral hygiene, prevents dental diseases, and assists in the treatment of oral health conditions. Their responsibilities include educating patients about proper dental care, assisting in dental procedures, and providing support in the management of oral diseases such as cavities, gum disease, and oral cancers. Dental Health Nurses play a key role in community oral health programs, working to improve dental health awareness and access to dental care, especially in underserved populations.
